What is Wordy Weapon?
You play as a Wordsmith in the world of Etymos, forging weapons from words to battle the Erratum — corrupted manifestations of broken language.
The core mechanic is the Forge: a six-slot system where adjectives modify damage, weapon types determine attack style, and gems trigger special effects.
Stack the right words, trigger the REREAD mechanic, and watch your damage cascade exponentially. Strategy beats vocabulary — a common word in the right slot can outdamage a legendary showpiece placed carelessly.
The Numbers
- 6 Heroes — Each with unique elemental affinities and skill trees
- 8 Elements — Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, Physical, Poison, Light, Dark
- 50 Talents — Build toward REREAD chains, Word Count overflow, Gold conversion, or Elemental stacking
- 3 Difficulty Modes — Apprentice, Adept, and Master (no skill tree, double enemy HP)
- Dynamic Soundtrack — Music layers based on your equipped elements
