Creator's Notes
This song was about the redundant reoccurrence of a relationship that comes and goes, where wanting it to work was still a constant. I made this song after a prolonged period of ups and downs with someone and thinking her reappearance in my life meant a mutual desire between the two of us. This song is essentially making my stance at the time, in the end of 2023, that I knew what I wanted.
I think we got it twisted, got it backwards
Tryna brute-force it like a password
But no I see, it's like Face ID
Need some time to meet
Just don't flake on me (flake on me, baby)
I know you fake it to all of your friends and your family
Yourself and that's crazy (cray)
You're way too comfortable acting that lazy
Cause you know
What we
Have to do, have to do, I know
So all things aside including your pride
Yeah
I still want you after all this time (ayy)
You still want me after all this time
Took long enough just to realize
I still want you after all this time (this time)
This ain't attachment though I cannot cut you loose
This ain't obsession, it's the way you doing you
This not a fairytale, I only tell the truth
Say you got no energy, but this is overdue
We have been here time and time again
I never mind cause you's a ten
But something's gotta happen then, oh no
I don't wanna fight and make amends
Things are gon' be different, different
I still want you after all this time (ayy)
You still want me after all this time
Took long enough just to realize
I still want you after all this time (this time)
I think we got it twisted
Think we got it twisted, yeah
I still want you after all this time (this time)
See that? How could I choose to leave that
Love is a drug and I relapse
I'm stuck onto you, immaculate
I'm Montague to your Capulet
To get her and keep her's the half of it
Can't be together, I'm passionate
Didn't come back on accident (on accident)
